Different Translations for the Same Word

In English we have different words for the same thing like

• you all, y'all, yinz
• soda, pop, Coke
• gumband, rubber-band
• sub, sandwich, grinder, foot-long, hoagie

Well Spanish has the same thing, and boy can it be confusing! A few websites are trying to help, (see the previous post Same Language Different Translations)

You may remember that I mention that many people don't refer to citizens of the United States as Americans, (see We're All Americans), many say "United-State-an" but in Spanish, which is estadounidense. But there are other ways too!
